Ordering/Payment
How do I order from the TechZone?
To order from the TechZone please send us an email request with the following information:
a. Items you would like to purchase
b. Quantity of item(s)
c. Project ID
d. Dept Code
e. Fund Code
Have the authorized signature for the PID approve the email purchase and forward the email to: TechZone@uthscsa.edu
How are Departmental Purchases processed?
All Departmental Purchases are processed by IDT. The approver will be sent an email copy of the Invoice and IDT for their records. The ProCard is not accepted at this time.
What type of payment do you accept for Personal Purchases?
We accept all major credit cards and checks
Products
Where can I order Dell computers?
Dell computers can be ordered from the TechZone for personal purchases only. For Departments looking to purchase Dell. Departments should create a quote to order a Dell then make your purchase through Purchasing by placing a requisition. For computers other than the recommended standard options go to the Dell Premier site to create your quote. To obtain your Dell Premier log in email TechZone@uthscsa.edu for access.
Looking for Apple products?
We sell all Apple products. If we do not have an item you need, we can special order it for you. Most items will arrive within a week.
Software
Looking for Microsoft Operating System?
The upgrade for the latest Windows OS can be purchased from the HSC Bookstore, located in Parking Garage B. The phone number is 567-2840.
What type of software does the TechZone carry?
Adobe and Endnote software is available for purchase at the TechZone. We can special order software as well. Please call or send an email to place your order today. (TechZone@uthscsa.edu) Adobe software takes about 10 to 14 days to receive from the vendor.
Looking for Microsoft Office Products/Software?
This software can be purchased at the HSC Bookstore located in parking garage B. Phone number 567-2840.
What about Statistical Software?
TechZone does not order/sell STATA or SPSS. Faculty: Please contact Dr. Michalek in Epidemiology & Biostatistics at 567-0886 for the UTHSCSA recommended options. Students & Residents: Please contact Dr. John Cornell in Epidemiology & Biostatistics at 567-0836 for the UTHSCSA recommended options.

Where can I purchase iPhone accessories?
iPhone accessories can be ordered off the Apple website or by sending us an email request for the item you would like to purchase.
What if I need something that is not readily available or in stock?
We do special orders. If you don't see what you are looking for in the store send us an email we will research the item and send you a quote on pricing.
