Secure Remote Desktop Connection (RDC)

Secure Remote Access
You may access your computer from on or off campus remotely by following the instructions below. Please call the IMS Service Desk at 567-7777 for assistance if necessary.

Off Campus Access

(Browsers supported: Internet Explorer, Safari)

1. Enable Remote Desktop

2. Determine Computer Name and/or IP Address

3. VPN (Virtual Private Network)

4. Remote Desktop Connection

Please Note: HSC remote access is not yet certified to work with OS X Lion and therefore problems may occur.

The Cisco VPN client is no longer the preferred solution for HSC remote access. If you need to, you can still find support for older Cisco Support by clicking here.

On Campus Access

When a wireless computer is connected via HSCwave VPN is not required.

1. Enable Remote Desktop

2. Determine Computer Name and/or IP Address

3. Remote Desktop Connection
