Restrictions:

E-mail accounts are only provided to individuals with an active UT Health Science Center affiliation.

Quota exceptions: Submit a Service Request Form, including user name, desired quota level, valid PID, and authorized signatory.

Time Constraints:

Hours: Mon-Fri 8A.M.-5P.M.
416.L Med. School Bldg.

Turn Around Time: Typically one day, to allow processes to run overnight

Cost:

E-mail accts. incur one-time $49.00 setup fee.
Quota disk $12.50 per 250 MB

Request Instructions: Accounts for active employees can be requested through the HCM hiring process. All other requests can be submitted via the online Service Request Form.

Secure Remote Desktop Connection (RDC)

Secure Remote Access
You may access your computer from on or off campus remotely by following the instructions below. Please call the IMS Service Desk at 567-7777 for assistance if necessary.

Off Campus Access

(Browsers supported: Internet Explorer, Safari)

1. Enable Remote Desktop

2. Determine Computer Name and/or IP Address

3. VPN (Virtual Private Network)

Direct link https://hscvpn.uthscsa.edu
Enter username and password (use your current UTHSCSA username and password).

4. Remote Desktop Connection

Please Note: HSC remote access is not yet certified to work with OS X Lion and therefore problems may occur.

The Cisco VPN client is no longer the preferred solution for HSC remote access. If you need to, you can still find support for older Cisco Support by clicking here.

On Campus Access

When a wireless computer is connected via HSCwave VPN is not required.
